Shortly before moving from Hawai'i back to New Hampshire, I began noticing moss on my Hawaiian hikes. I had considered moss to be more of a New England thing than a tropical thing, so I started taking pictures, with the goal of comparing moss in Hawai'i with they types I discovered back in New England.
This is my attempt to learn everything I can about moss. How does it compare between climate zones? How is it alike? One thing is for sure-- it is incredibly resilient. One could use the term "mossy" in lieu of "tenacious" (although I'm not aware of that in current practice. Let's start that trend).
Stay mossy, my friends.
